  I.        CALL TO ORDER

·         The general meeting was called to order by Carl Dependahl, President

·         Members Present: Rex Turner, Dale Bohannan, Todd Meador, Ted Zuk, Kathy Cote, Michelle Stevens, Charles Chase, Michael Terry, Kevin Ferguson, Bob Taylor, Scott Pigman, Christy Davis, Carl Dependahl, Robert Rice, Michael Morter, Dave Bassett, Chris Reising, Mike Broomfield, Hank Eckardt, Ken Sandlin, Audra Wonsyld, Jerry Schaeffer, Chad Wiltrout, Steve Lampert, Frank Rauch, Kelly Adams, Jeff Pattschull, Tom Marineau, Mary Montague.

 

II.                SELF-INTRODUCTIONS

III.             APPROVAL OF MINUTES

·         Add Dave Bassett to August minutes as member present.  Minutes approved with changes.

IV.              TREASURER REPORT

·         We currently have 11 new members; 78 Active; 27 Associate for a total of 99 members. Current balance $32,631.82.

V.                 NEW BUSINESS

·         Robert Rice reminded those going to the ICC Annual Conference in Reno to bring pins to exchange.

·         Christy showed us our new SOC-ICC pens/highlighters with the chapter logo.

·         Received thank-you notes from Construction Technology Dept for our scholarship donation, and from Gerry George for inviting him to our annual conference at Running Y.

·         Dave Bassett requested to be put on next meetings Agenda to discuss what he is working on with the State; OIC training, etc.

·         Adele is working on updating the by-laws and should have them completed by next meeting.

·         Misc: A reminder that nominations will be coming up.  Chapter will be creating a new letterhead and bulletin, which will include code tips and posted on our website.

VI.              OLD BUSINESS

·         Chris Reising-Update on Fee Methodology; would like to see a standardized valuation form.

·         Robert Rice gave update on current code proposals.  If you would like a copy of  these, Robert has copies.

VII.           OPEN DISCUSSION

·         Discussion about woodstove/chimney pipe inspections.  Please add a ‘verification of clearance observed’ on job card, or  “clearance per installer” or “cannot see, ask owner”.  Record somewhere what you did/didn’t see during inspection.

·         Dale advised the inspectors to note the ‘20 minutes doors’ being manufactured by a So. CA manufacturer are not correctly labeled/rated.  The industry is looking into correct labeling.
